Researcher whose team identified 12 pathological liars among 108 job seekers at a temporary employment agency (cross-referenced against family and friend accounts), then found their brain scans showed 14% less gray matter and 22-26% more white matter in the prefrontal cortex than non-liars — a structural difference plausibly linked to greater connectivity between memories and ideas.
