Super Communicators

Charles Duhigg

Charles Duhigg's book on the science of connection, arguing that skilled communicators aren't defined by charisma or extroversion but by a small set of practiced skills: recognizing which of three conversation types (practical, emotional, social) is happening at a given moment and matching it (see Matching Principle (Conversation-Type Alignment)), asking deep rather than shallow questions, taking turns in mutual self-disclosure, and "looping for understanding" to prove active listening.
